"Rock Yo Hips" is a song by American Southern hip hop sextet Crime Mob featuring Lil Scrappy. It was recorded at PatchWerk Recording Studios in Atlanta and released on August 29, 2006 via Crunk Incorporated/Reprise Records as the lead single from the group's second studio album ''Hated on Mostly''. Production was handled by Crime Mob member Lil' Jay. The single peaked at number 30 on the US Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The music video directed by Dr. Teeth premiered on BET.com on November 7, 2006. Crunk is a subgenre of hip hop music that emerged in the early 1990s and gained mainstream success during the mid 2000s. Jerry Peters
Jerry Peters is an American songwriter, record producer, multi-instrumentalist, conductor and arranger. He is best known for writing the hit songs "Love Or Let Me Be Lonely" and "Going In Circles" by The Friends of Distinction. Career Peters was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, but was reared in Slidell, Louisiana. At the age of 14, Jerry moved to Los Angeles, California, where he attended Susan Miller Dorsey High School.
