''Eyes'' is a maze shooter arcade game created by Miami-based developer Digitrex Techstar and published in 1982 by Rock-Ola. It was licensed for the European market by Zaccaria with different cabinet art. Gameplay The player controls an eyeball in a maze. As in ''Pac-Man'' the goal is to collect all of the dots to advance to next level, but in ''Eyes'' the player shoots the dots rather than eating them. Computer-controlled eyes chase and shoot at the player. Shooting a computer eye gives points and removes it from the level, but it will reappear a short time later. Being shot by a computer eye is fatal. As the game progresses, more computer eyes are added to levels and they take less time to shoot at the player. They also move faster. Jump Bug
is a 1981 scrolling shooter platform game developed by Alpha Denshi under contract for Hoei Corporation. It was distributed in arcades by Sega in Japan and Europe, and by Rock-Ola in North America. It was the first platform game to include horizontal and, in one segment, vertical scrolling. ''Jump Bug'' was ported to the Emerson Arcadia and the Leisure Vision home systems. The game uses a limited form of parallax scrolling, with the main scene scrolling while starry night sky is fixed and clouds move slowly, adding depth to the scenery. This was a year before ''Moon Patrol'' (1982), with its three moving layers. Dominici Affair
The Dominici affair was the criminal investigation into the murder of three Britons in France. During the night of 4/5 August 1952, Sir Jack Drummond, a 61-year-old scientist; his 44-year-old wife Anne (née Wilbraham); and their 10-year-old daughter Elizabeth were murdered next to their car, a green Hillman, with registration ''NNK 686'' which was parked in a lay-by near ''La Grand'Terre'', the farm belonging to the Dominici family, located near the village of Lurs in the département of Basses-Alpes (now Alpes-de-Haute-Provence). Gaston Dominici was convicted of the three murders in 1957 and sentenced to death. In 1957, President René Coty commuted the sentence to life imprisonment, and on 14 July 1960, President Charles de Gaulle ordered Dominici's release on humanitarian grounds due to his poor health.
