Rochester Thunder
Rochester Thunder was an American soccer team based in Rochester, Minnesota, United States. Founded in 2008, the team played in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Heartland Division of the Central Conference. The franchise folded at the end of the 2010 season and left the league thereafter. The team was originally part of the official development system of the Minnesota Thunder former USL First Division franchise. They played their home games at RCTC Stadium on the campus of Rochester Community and Technical College. The team's colors were blue, white and silver. History The Thunder joined the PDL in 2009, and played their first ever game on May 9, 2009, away at Des Moines Menace. Rochester Community And Technical College
Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) is a public community college in Rochester, Minnesota. It serves more than 8,000 students annually. The college was founded in 1915 on a motion by Dr. Charles Mayo to the Rochester School Board and is Minnesota's oldest original community college. RCTC offers more than 70 programs and over 130 credential options with varying delivery options (whether online, in-person, or hybrid). is a retired Japanese football player who is currently the technical director for the Tucker Youth Soccer Association in Tucker, Georgia. Career Japan Takada attended Hokkaido Sapporo Daiichi High School and Hokkaido University of Education. Paul Moran (born May 16, 1983 in Redwood City, California) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Rochester Thunder in the USL Premier Development League. Career Youth and college Moran grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area playing for the Palo Alto Pumas which won the 2002 Dallas Cup. He graduated from Bellarmine College Prep. In 2001, he entered Santa Clara University, playing on the men’s soccer team in 2001 and 2002. He transferred to Fresno State University for the 2003 season, then to Fresno Pacific University for the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Brian Pederson (born May 6, 1981 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota) is an American soccer player who played for Rochester Thunder in the USL Premier Development League. Career College and Amateur Pederson attended Roosevelt High School and played collegiate soccer at Salem International University in West Virginia where he was a three-year captain and was selected to the All-Conference and All-Region teams. He also spent the 2003 and 2004 seasons with the Sioux Falls Spitfire of the USL Premier Development League.
