Rochester Renegade
The Rochester Renegade (later Rochester Renegades) were a professional basketball team based in Rochester, Minnesota. They played 2 seasons in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA), the defunct development league for the National Basketball Association (NBA). History After the Birmingham Bandits of Birmingham, Alabama had recorded the worst attendance of the CBA in the 1991–92 season, on May 28, 1992 their owner Tom McMillan announced that the Kahler Corporation had acquired the franchise, and the team was relocated to Rochester, Minnesota, becoming the Rochester Renegade. The team was intentionally named ''Renegade'' and not ''Renegades'', and played their games at the Mayo Civic Center, while the team had their headquarters at 100 First Ave. SW in Rochester. Bill Musselman
William Clifford Musselman (August 13, 1940 – May 5, 2000) was an American basketball coach in the NCAA, the ABA, the WBA, the CBA, and the NBA. He was known for his trademark intensity, once being quoted as saying, "Defeat is worse than death because you have to live with defeat." Early life Musselman was the second of five children. His father, Clifford Musselman, was an auto mechanic and band promoter. He had a loving and dedicated mother named Bertha (Combs) Miller who later married James Miller. James became Bill's father and was a big part of his life growing up. The young Musselman played basketball, football, and baseball at Wooster High School in Wooster, Ohio.
