Rocher Lake (Nipukatasi River)
The Rocher Lake is a freshwater body of the Broadback River watershed, of the municipality of Eeyou Istchee James Bay (municipality), in the Nord-du-Québec, in Quebec, in Canada. Forestry is the main economic activity of the sector. Recreational tourism activities come second with a large downstream navigable body of water, especially the lower Nipukatasi River and the Broadback River. The hydrographic slope of lake Rocher is accessible via the forest road R1023 (east-west) from the west, passing north of “Île au Pain de Sucre”, then heading north-east to pass from the West of lake Rocher; the R1023 connects the "James Bay Road" (North-South direction) that comes from Matagami. Another road (North-South direction) passes on the east side of Lake Rocher and on the west side of Amisquioumisca Lake. Petit-Rocher
Petit-Rocher is a formerly incorporated Canadian village in Gloucester County, New Brunswick. Sitting on both Chaleur Bay and Nepisiguit Bay 20 km northwest of Bathurst, Petit-Rocher's residents are 89% Francophone. On 1 January 2023, Petit-Rocher amalgamated with Beresford, Nigadoo, Pointe-Verte and all or part of ten local service districts to form the new town of Belle-Baie. The community's name remains in use by the province's 911 system. History The village was founded in 1797 by Acadian settlers. The name literally means 'little rock', and is pronounced by most anglophones in the region as ''Petty Roche''. The name of the village is reputed to derive from the fact that the village's founders disembarked on a small rock. The village was named ''Little Roche'' from 1850 to 1854, then ''Madisco'' until 1870, and then ''Petit Rocher''. The hyphenated form ''Petit-Rocher'' was adopted in 2009. Rochers De Naye
The Rochers de Naye ( French, lit. "rocks of Naye"; ) is a mountain of the Swiss Alps, overlooking Lake Geneva near Montreux and Villeneuve, in the canton of Vaud. They lie on the range separating the basin of Lake Geneva from the valley of the Sarine, on the watershed between the Rhone and the Rhine. The mountain is partially located in the canton of Fribourg, the border between the two cantons culminating on a lower summit named ''Grande Chaux de Naye'' (). The Rochers de Naye are easily accessible from Montreux, where the highest railway in the canton, the Montreux–Glion–Rochers-de-Naye railway line, starts. From the summit station (), only a short walk is necessary to reach the summit. In addition, it is also possible to access the summit by driving to Col de Jaman and then making the 2-3 hr hike to the peak. The Rochers de Naye are also known for the Rochers de Naye Via Ferrata
