Roche Bros. Supermarkets, Inc. is a chain of supermarkets based in Mansfield, Massachusetts. The company's stores are primarily located in the Boston Metro Area. Roche Bros. also operates the supermarket chain Sudbury Farms. A third banner, Brothers Marketplace, primarily the next-generation concept of the brothers Ed and Rick Roche, has five locations: the first one was opened in Weston, Massachusetts and a second in Medfield, Massachusetts, both in 2014. Since then three more have been opened: Waltham, Massachusetts in 2018, Duxbury, Massachusetts in 2019, and Cambridge, Massachusetts, also in 2019. West Roxbury is a neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts bordered by Roslindale and Jamaica Plain to the northeast, the town of Brookline, Massachusetts, Brookline to the north, the cities and towns of Newton, Massachusetts, Newton and Needham, Massachusetts, Needham to the northwest and the town of Dedham, Massachusetts, Dedham to the southwest. West Roxbury is often mistakenly confused with Roxbury, Boston, Roxbury, but, by around 6 miles, the two are not connected. West Roxbury is separated from Roxbury by Jamaica Plain and Roslindale. Pre-1630: Area is inhabited by the Wampanoag Indian Tribe. Founded in 1630 (contemporaneously with Boston), West Roxbury was originally part of the town of Roxbury and was mainly used as farmland. West Roxbury seceded from Roxbury in 1851, and was annexed by Boston in 1874. The town included the neighborhoods of Jamaica Plain and Roslindale.
