Robin Liddell
Robin Liddell (born 28 February 1974) is a Scottish racing driver who currently competes in the Michelin Pilot Challenge. Career 255px, Liddell in action at Road America in 2012 Liddell has two series championships to his name, winning the GT class of the 2001 European Le Mans Series and the GS class of the 2015 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. In 2014, Liddell joined Corvette Racing for the inaugural season of the United SportsCar Championship, lining up for the team at Daytona and Sebring. In 2018, Liddell took on a dual driver and team manager role with Michelin Pilot Challenge team Rebel Rock Racing, having driven for the team in previous years. 2001 American Le Mans Series
The 2001 American Le Mans Series season was the third season for the IMSA American Le Mans Series, and the 31st overall season of the IMSA GT Championship. It was a series for Le Mans Prototypes (LMP) and Grand Touring (GT) race cars divided into 4 classes: LMP900, LMP675, GTS, and GT. It began March 4, 2001 and ended October 6, 2001 after 10 races. This season shared events with the new European Le Mans Series, with two events being held in Europe. Schedule The schedule for the 2001 featured the only time in ALMS history that the opening event was not the 12 Hours of Sebring, instead being preceded by the Grand Prix of Texas. After Sebring, the two ELMS rounds at Donington Park and Jarama were optional for ALMS teams as the next North American event was not until after Le Mans. Petit Le Mans
The Petit Le Mans ( French for ''little Le Mans'') is a sports car endurance race held annually at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia, USA. It uses the rules established for the 24 Hours of Le Mans by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO), which are slightly modified if necessary, mainly to allow additional cars to compete. The race was founded by Road Atlanta owner Don Panoz and first run on October 10, 1998 as part of the IMSA season. The 1999 edition was one of the original events of the American Le Mans Series. The 2010 and 2011 editions were also part of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, but the 2012 race for the brand-new World Endurance Championship was controversially dropped in favour of Bahrain. IMSA Monterey Grand Prix
The Course de Monterey is a sports car race held annually at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA). The event began in 1950 as a race on the roads of Pebble Beach, California. In 1951, it was added to the new SCCA National Sports Car Championship. When Laguna Seca Raceway was built in 1957, the races moved there. The event fell dormant after the National Championship was discontinued in 1957, but was revived by the SCCA's new United States Road Racing Championship in 1963. The race fell dormant again in 1969, and was revived in 1973 with the IMSA GT Championship. The Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio is a sports car race held annually at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The race began in 1963 as a part of the United States Road Racing Championship. It was part of the IMSA GT Championship from 1972 until 1993, and the American Le Mans Series from 2001 to 2002 and again from 2004 to 2012.
