Roberto González Goyri
Roberto González Goyri (1924 in Guatemala City – November 13, 2007 in Guatemala City) was a Guatemalan painter, sculptor and muralist. His work was shown at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, among other venues. He was notable for his figurative reliefs, free-standing sculptures in stone or metal, and semi-abstract painting in his later years. Early years At the age of 14, he entered the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas "Rafael Rodríguez Padilla", National Academy of Fine Arts where he studied with Rafael Yela Günther. He then spent times as a draftsman at Guatemala's National Museum of Archeology. Roberto González Echevarría (born 1943) is a Cuban-born critic of Latin American literature and culture. He is the Sterling Professor of Hispanic and Comparative Literature at Yale University. Early life, education, and career González Echevarría was born in Sagua La Grande in 1943; his family moved to Havana when he was 13, and after the Cuban Revolution, his family emigrated to Tampa in the US, where relatives on his father's side had already moved. His mother was a PhD and teacher of philosophy. Roberto González Valdés (born March 31, 1976, in Mexico City) is a Mexican racing driver from Monterrey. He competed in Champ Car in the 2003 season and for all of 2004. In 2003, he made his debut in the race at St. Petersburg in Florida for Dale Coyne Racing failing to complete the race. His other appearance in 2003 was at home in Mexico City where he substituted for veteran Roberto Moreno scoring his 1st Champ Car points in 10th spot. He was given a full-time ride with PKV Racing for the 2004 season complete with backing from the Mexican arm of Nextel.
