Roberto Dalla Vecchia
Roberto Dalla Vecchia (born 5 January 1968) is an Italian guitarist, composer, and singer. He is known for his expressive melodies and songs which include many references to traditional American music and bluegrass music, bluegrass. Biography Dalla Vecchia was born in Vicenza, Italy. He began studying classic piano with his mother, a piano teacher, but soon switched to acoustic guitar. Influenced by American old-time music and bluegrass, he learnt flatpicking by listening to its exponents such as Clarence White, Tony Rice and Doc Watson. He also took lessons from the Italian guitarist and flatpicker Beppe Gambetta. Dalla Vecchia released his first solo album ''Open Spaces'' in 1998. In 2003, he won ''Acoustic Guitar (magazine), Acoustic Guitar'' magazine's "Homegrown CD" Award for his second album ''Sit Back''. Soave, Veneto
Soave is a small ''comune'' of the Veneto region in the Province of Verona, northern Italy, with a population of roughly 6,800 people. It is known above all for its Scaligeri Castle and for the typical wine that bears its name. Geography Soave is located approximately east of Verona and is reachable by use of the A4 motorway exit Soave-San Bonifacio. History Soave was a Roman center on the via Postumia that connected Aquileia to Genoa. There are different names about the origin of current name: according to one theory, it could derive from the Suebi (sometimes called ''Soavi'' in medieval Italian). Jim Hurst
Jim Hurst is an American bluegrass and country guitarist. He is known primarily as an instrumentalist but has also been credited for vocals with numerous other artists as well as his solo career. Hurst has performed with musicians that include Holly Dunn, Trisha Yearwood, Sara Evans, and Missy Raines. He has also won numerous awards for his work. Career Hurst began his career with playing country music in the 1980s and 90s. He was the guitarist for Holly Dunn and the Rio Band where he played both nationally and internationally. He toured with Trisha Yearwood where he played acoustic and electric guitar. Hurst joined Claire Lynch and the Front Porch String Band in 1995. During that time he met Missy Raines and they formed the duet "Jim Hurst and Missy Raines," playing together until 2000. The last universal common ancestor (LUCA) is the most recent population from which all organisms now living on Earth share common descent—the most recent common ancestor of all current life on Earth. Tony McManus (born 1965) is a guitarist from Paisley, Scotland who plays finger-style acoustic guitar arrangements of tunes from Celtic music, classical music, and other genres. McManus emigrated from Scotland to Canada in 2003.
