The 2022 Davis Cup qualifying round was held on 4–5 March 2022. The twelve winners of this round qualify for the 2022 Davis Cup Finals while the twelve losers will qualify for the 2022 Davis Cup World Group I. Teams Twenty-four teams played for twelve spots in the finals, in series decided on a home and away basis. Clarence Alley "Clay" Thompson IV (born May 4, 1992) is an American former professional tennis player. Thompson was born in Venice, CA, and attended 6-12th grade at Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences in Santa Monica, CA. He was a top-ranked national junior and ended his high school career as the #3 recruit in the country, choosing to play for Billy Martin at UCLA. Ryan John Shane (born April 15, 1994) is an American professional tennis player. He played college tennis at the University of Virginia. On May 25, 2015, Shane won the NCAA Men's Singles Championship. This victory also earned him a wild card into the main draw of the 2015 US Open. Early life Ryan's parents are Alaine and Jack Shane. The TCU Horned Frogs men's tennis team represents Texas Christian University in NCAA Division I college tennis. The team is part of the Big 12 Conference and plays home matches at the Bayard H.
