Roberto Challe
Roberto Carlos Chale Olarte, "Roberto Chale" (born 24 November 1946) is a Peruvian former football player, recognized as one of Peru's most important midfielders. He was born in Lima. He is also known as ''Maestro'' (Master) or ''Niño Terrible'' (Enfant terrible), Chale is best remembered for his performance in the 1970 World Cup qualifying match against Argentina on 30 August 1969, which sent Peru to the finals. He earned 48 caps and scored 4 goals for the Peru national football team, and played in the 1970 FIFA World Cup, where he scored 1 goal and Peru reached the quarterfinals. Peru National Football Team
The Peru national football team represents Peru in men's international football. The national team has been organised, since 1927, by the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF). The FPF constitutes one of the ten members of FIFA's South American Football Confederation ( CONMEBOL). Peru has won the Copa América twice, and has qualified for the FIFA World Cup five times (last appearing in 2018); the team also participated in the 1936 Olympic football competition and has reached the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Club Alianza Lima, popularly known as Alianza Lima or simply Alianza, is a Peruvian professional sports club based in La Victoria District of Lima, Peru. History Sport Coopsol was founded in 2000 when business group "Grupo Cooperativa Solar (Coopsol)" acquired the club Telefunken 20, which last played in the 1999 Segunda División Peruana season. Deportivo Wanka is a Peruvian football club, based in the city of Huancayo in the Peruvian Andes. It was founded in 1969 and is named after the Wankas people who formerly inhabited the area and after whom the city of Huancayo is named. 1986 FIFA World Cup
The 1986 FIFA World Cup was the 13th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was played in Mexico from 31 May to 29 June 1986. The tournament was the second to feature a 24-team format. Colombia had been originally chosen to host the competition by FIFA but, largely due to economic reasons, was not able to do so, and resigned in 1982. Mexico was selected as the new host in May 1983, and became the first country to host the World Cup more than once, after previously hosting in 1970. The World Cup was won by Argentina (their second title, after winning in 1978). Club Juan Aurich S. A., commonly known as Juan Aurich, is a professional football club based in Chiclayo, Peru. The original Juan Aurich club was founded in 1922, this incarnation however was founded in 2005; they play in the Torneo Descentralizado where they have been playing since attaining promotion when they won the 2007 Copa Perú.
