Roberta Moretti Avery
Roberta de Melo Moretti Avery (born 9 July 1985) is a Brazilian cricketer and the captain of the national women's cricket team. Career Early life and career Moretti was born in Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais as part of a sporting family: her parents played golf. She initially played golf in her hometown, until the age of 16, being part of Brazilian team for the Youth South American team, in Uruguay 2000 competition. She then spent some time in the UK, before returning to Brazil in 2010. During her brief stay in UK, she approached Liam Cook and asked him to conduct few coaching sessions for her. Her alternative sport was handball, as a goalkeeper for Poços de Caldas team until the age of 17. Poços De Caldas
Poços de Caldas is a municipality in the south of Minas Gerais state, Brazil, in the microregion of the same name. Its estimated population in 2020 was 168,641 inhabitants. The city is known for its hot springs. History Poços was founded in 1872. Cotia
Cotia is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. It is part of the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo. The population is 253,608 (2020 est.) in an area of 323.99 km². The city is at an elevation of 853 m. Cotia is linked with the Rodovia Raposo Tavares highway. History Cotia was founded in 1580, and was an active village during the "bandeiras" expeditions. Bexley Cricket Club
Bexley Cricket Club was founded in 1805 at the Manor Way ground in Bexley Village. The present ground in Manor Way has been in use by the club since 1866. The club has historically been one of the strongest in South-East England, having been Kent Cricket League champions in 1996 and 2021, appearing in two Evening Standard Challenge Trophy finals. and winning the ECB National Club Cricket Championship in 2022, beating Nantwich Cricket Club by one run in the final at Lord's. 2018 South American Women's Cricket Championship
The 2018 South American Women's Cricket Championship was held in Colombia from 23 to 26 August. The four teams that participated this year were the women's sides of Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Peru. The Mexico women's national cricket team, nicknamed the Jaguars (Las Jaguares), represents the country of Mexico in women's cricket matches. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) status to all its members.
