Robert James de Bruyn (born 26 February 1991, in Johannesburg) is a South African rugby union player. His regular position is centre. Career Youth Bruyn played for the at the 2007 Grant Khomo Week and 2008 Craven Week tournaments and was also included in the 2008 Under-18 Elite squad. He then returned to Johannesburg and played for the team in 2009 and 2010 and for the team in 2011 and 2012. Golden Lions Bruyn made his debut for the senior team in a 2011 Currie Cup compulsory friendly match against the . He started the match and scored a try in a 28–25 victory. The 2012 Vodacom Cup was played between 10 March and 18 May 2012 and was the 15th edition of this annual domestic cup competition.
