''Robert and Bertram'' (german: Robert und Bertram) is a comedy play by the German writer Gustav Räder, which was first staged in 1856. It depicts the adventures of two wandering vagrants. It premiered in Dresden on 6 February 1856.O'Brien p. 58 It served as the basis for a variety of different stage versions, loosely modelled on it. It was later turned into an 1888 opera ''Robert and Bertram (opera), Robert and Bertram''. Samuel ''Šəmūʾēl'', Tiberian Hebrew, Tiberian: ''Šămūʾēl''; ar, شموئيل or صموئيل '; el, Σαμουήλ ''Samouḗl''; la, Samūēl is a figure who, in the narratives of the Hebrew Bible, plays a key role in the transition from the biblical judges to the Kingdom of Israel (united monarchy), United Kingdom of Israel under Saul, and again in the monarchy's transition from Saul to David. He is Veneration, venerated as a prophet in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. In addition to his role in the Hebrew scriptures, Samuel is mentioned in Jewish rabbinic literature, rabbinical literature, in the Christian New Testament, and in the second chapter of the Quran (although Islamic texts do not mention him by name).
