Lihue or Līhue is an unincorporated community, census-designated place (CDP) and the county seat of Kauai County, Hawaii, United States. Lihue (pronounced ) is the second largest town on the Hawaiian island of Kauai after Kapaa. As of the 2010 census, the CDP had a population of 6,455, up from 5,694 at the 2000 census. History In ancient times, Lihue was a minor village. ''Līhue'' means "cold chill" in the Hawaiian language. Lucio Pozzi (born 1935 in Milan) is an Italian-born, American artist currently based in Hudson, New York, and Valeggio sul Mincio, Verona, Italy. John Lucas Perreault ( New York, New York, August 26, 1937 – September 6, 2015, New York, New York) was a poet, art curator, art critic and artist. Early life Perreault was born in Manhattan and raised in Belmar and other towns in New Jersey. He studied briefly at Montclair State Teachers College, after which he enrolled in a poetry workshop at the New School for Social Research. His first book of poetry, ''Camouflage'', was published in 1966, followed by ''Luck'' (1969) and ''Harry'' (1974). Professional work Perreault was an editorial associate for ''ARTnews'' in the 1960s, an art critic for ''The Village Voice'' (1966–74), and senior art critic for ''The SoHo Weekly News'' (1975–82).
