Robb is a surname of Scottish people, Scottish origin, formed from a diminution (reduction) of the name Robert. Robert was a popular name, especially after its use by three Scots Kings in the fourteenth century. Robert Carr Wells Jr. (born April 10, 1968) is an American politician, perennial candidate and former college football coach. He was the head football coach at Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia for the 2008 and 2009 seasons. In his Major League Baseball (MLB) career, he played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Texas Rangers, St. Louis Cardinals, Colorado Rockies, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals, Washington Nationals, Cincinnati Reds and San Diego Padres. Robert Wells (August 28, 1933 – October 28, 2020) was a Canadian lawyer, politician and judge in Newfoundland. He represented St. John's South (provincial electoral district), St. John's South from 1972 to 1975 and Kilbride (electoral district), Kilbride from 1975 to 1979 in the Newfoundland House of Assembly. He sat on the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador from 1986 to 2008. Early life Wells was born in Badger's Quay, the son of Reverend Warwick Wells and Dorcas Parsons. Robert Henry Arthur Wells (born 7 April 1962) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and musician best known for the musical ', which contains elements of rock, classical and boogie-woogie. Early life and career Wells was born in Stockholm. He attended the Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm at the age of 7 in 1969 and four years later, at the age of 11, became the youngest person ever to attend the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. Robert Wells (born 1947) is a UK poet and fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. Wells was born in Oxford, where his father was a don and his mother a teacher. He attended King's College, Cambridge from 1965 to 1968, and worked as a woodsman on Exmoor in 1977, the year ''The Winter's Task: Poems'' was published. From 1979 to 1982 he taught English in Italy, Iran, and Leicester. He has written freelance and translated Virgil and Theocritus. Early on, he collaborated with his friends Dick Davis and Clive Wilmer on a book of poems, ''Shade Mariners''. Michael Schmidt included some of his poems in two anthologies. Robert Joseph Wells (October 4, 1856 – February 12, 1941) was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. Life and politics Wells was born in Mazomanie, Wisconsin. He moved to Mitchell Township, Minnesota in May 1878 and began working as a farmer. He studied law in his spare time, and was admitted to the bar in 1888. He married Sadie E. Langford on January 17, 1889, and had four children. Wells was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1901 to 1910. He was a Republican.
