Robert W. Glover
Robert W. Glover (November 15, 1866 - March 29, 1956) was a teacher, postmaster, tax assessor, judge, state legislator, and Missionary Baptist pastor in Arkansas. He served in both houses of the Arkansas General Assembly. Career Glover was born in Grant County, Arkansas to William H. & Margarate C. () Glover, a prominent family in the settlement of the county. He attended local schools, graduating from Sheridan High School. Following graduation Glover worked as a farmer and teacher for ten years before seeking public office. Glover served as Grant County Assessor from 1896 to 1900.. He served in the Arkansas House from 1905 to 1909. In 1907 he announced his campaign for senate. In 1909 he was elected to the Arkansas Senate representing the Ninth District, which included Grant, Saline and Hot Spring counties. John Lasarus Williams (29 October 1924 – 15 June 2004), known as John L, was a Welsh nationalist activist. Williams was born in Llangoed on Anglesey, but lived most of his life in nearby Llanfairpwllgwyngyll. In his youth, he was a keen footballer, and he also worked as a teacher. His activism started when he campaigned against the refusal of Brewer Spinks, an employer in Blaenau Ffestiniog, to permit his staff to speak Welsh. David Delano Glover
David Delano Glover (January 18, 1868 – April 5, 1952) was a U.S. Representative from Arkansas's 6th congressional district. Life and work Born in Prattsville in Grant County, Glover attended the public schools of Prattsville and Sheridan, the seat of Grant County. He was graduated in 1886 from Sheridan High School. He engaged in agricultural pursuits and in the mercantile business. He taught in the public schools of Hot Spring County from 1898 to 1908 and then studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1910 and commenced practice in Malvern, the seat of government of Hot Spring County. Glover served as member of the Arkansas House of Representatives in the regular legislative sessions of 1909 and 1911. He served as delegate to several state conventions and a prosecuting attorney of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court of Arkansas from 1913 to 1917.
