Robert Templeton (12 December 1802 – 2 June 1892) was a naturalist, artist, and entomologist, and was born at Cranmore House, Belfast, Ireland. Life and work Robert Templeton was the son of John Templeton, and was educated in Belfast Academical Institution, which was in part his father's creation. In 1821 he left Ireland for Edinburgh, Scotland to study medicine and following graduation practised in the University hospital. In the same year he became a Member of the Belfast Natural History Society. In 1833 (6 May) he was commissioned as Assistant Surgeon in the Royal Artillery, initially stationed at the Royal Artillery Barracks, Woolwich, close to London, England. In 1834, Templeton was stationed to Mauritius and in 1835 to Rio de Janeiro and Recife. From Rio (1835) he took ship to Colombo, Ceylon, ''via'' the Cape of Good Hope and in this year became a Corresponding Member of the Zoological Society of London. Bobby Templeton (footballer, Born 1880)
Robert Bryson Templeton (29 March 1880 – 2 November 1919) was a Scottish football player and manager. He played as an outside right for Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Woolwich Arsenal, Celtic, Kilmarnock and Fulham. He represented the Scotland eleven times between 1902 and 1913. His first international would have been on 5 April 1902, but the match was declared void after 26 spectators died during the first Ibrox disaster.Bobby Templeton

Bobby Templeton (footballer, Born 1894)
Robert Templeton (1894 – 1967) was a Scottish football player and manager. He played primarily as a defender for Hibernian from 1911 until 1925, playing on the losing side in the 1914 Scottish Cup Final but not featuring in the consecutive defeats of 1923 and 1924. He then managed the club from 1925 to 1936, occasionally filling in as a player in the first few seasons (including as goalkeeper) and eventually taking charge of over 400 matches – the ''Hibees'' were relegated from the top division in 1930–31 but returned as winners of the lower tier in 1932–33.(Hibernian manager) Templeton, Bobby

Dink Templeton
Robert Lyman "Dink" Templeton (May 27, 1897 – August 7, 1962) was an American track and field athlete, Olympic gold medalist in rugby union, college football player, and track coach. Personal Templeton was born in Helena, Montana, and attended Palo Alto High School in Palo Alto, California. He attended Stanford University, where he played on the American football, football and rugby union teams. He received both his undergraduate and law degrees from Stanford. Olympics In 1920, Templeton was on the United States Olympic team in rugby and the long jump. He was handicapped in his best event, the high jump, because he normally used the Western roll jumping style, which was considered illegal at that time. Robert Templeton (May 11, 1929 – July 16, 1991) was an American artist. His work includes the civil rights collection "Lest we forget...Images of the Black Civil Rights Movement", highlighting seminal figures from the movement. Templeton painted the portrait of former President Jimmy Carter that is displayed in the Hall of presidents of the Smithsonian Institution's National Portrait Gallery. Early life Robert Templeton was born into a farming family in Iowa on May 11, 1929. Due to the Wall Street crash that year, his childhood was difficult. The family depended on growing their own vegetables, supplemented by his father's wages as a WPA worker, and government rice handouts. Their quality of life improved when his father was entrusted with the management of a farm in Montgomery County, Iowa, as a tenant farmer.
