Robert A. Savage (born January 5, 1934) is an ex-president and chief executive of American Express Bank, becoming chairman in 1991. He joined American Express in 1965 from Barclays Bank, where he was deputy chief trader of foreign currency. He was born in London, and he was among the "Blitz Babies" evacuated from London during The Blitz. He received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1975. He is also a past member of the Foreign Exchange Committee. Robert James Savage (born 8 January 1960) is an English footballer who played as a midfielder in the Football League for Wrexham, Stoke City, AFC Bournemouth, Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers. Career Savage was born in Liverpool, and began his football career with Liverpool, but never played a competitive game for their first team. He spent time on loan at Wrexham in 1982–83, then signed for Stoke City at the end of that season, but after making just seven appearances in the first four months of the 1983–84 season he moved on to AFC Bournemouth in December 1983. He was part of Harry Redknapp's Third Division side that beat Manchester United 2–0 to eliminate them from the 1983–84 FA Cup. Robson 'Robbie' Savage (1967–2017) was a Namibian football fan and socialite. He was the official mascot of the Brave Warriors, Namibia's national football team, as well as of the first inter-racial rugby match between South Africa and pre-independent Namibia in 1987. Savage was born on 31 January 1967 and grew up in Windhoek's Khomasdal suburb. He had Down syndrome and was the widest-known Namibian that lived with the disease. Already in his youth he developed a passion for football and attended countless major and minor events. Later he supported other sports codes as well, notably boxing and athletics, and he was a noticeable member of the audience in uncountable high-profile Namibian social events. Robert Emmet Savage (16 March 1895 – 2 July 1959) was an Australian politician. He was born at Enmore to ex-Irish seaman William Savage and Mary McCarthy. He attended Christian Brothers' College in Balmain and became a clerk with the Metropolitan Board of Water Supply. Robert Edward Savage (30 November 1911 – 30 January 1964) was an English footballer who played at wing-half for Liverpool Life and playing career Born in Louth, Lincolnshire, England, Savage played for Stewton F.C. and Lincoln City F.C. before he was bought by Liverpool manager George Patterson in May 1931. He made his debut on 26 September 1931 in a First Division match at Anfield. Grimsby Town F.C. were the visitors and were comfortably beaten 4–0. Savage scored twice, in the 66th and 82nd minutes (Gordon Hodgson also scored twice, in the 26th and 85th minutes). Savage was able to get the chance to score the goals as he was played in the forward line instead of his usual position of wing-half. Robert Rodney Savage (born 20 December 1960) is a former English cricketer. Savage was a right-handed batsman. He was born at Southampton, Hampshire. Savage made his Minor Counties Championship debut for Wiltshire in 1986 against Dorset. From 1986 to 1995, he represented the county in 44 Minor Counties Championship matches, the last of which came against Wales Minor Counties. Savage also represented Wiltshire in the MCCA Knockout Trophy. His debut in that competition came against Cornwall in 1988. He played for the Philadelphia Athletics and St. Louis Browns of Major League Baseball (MLB) in parts of five seasons spanning 1942–1949. Listed at and , he batted and threw right-handed. Biography Savage was born in 1921 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He originally signed with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1942, making his major league debut on June 24.
