Robert Quiroga (gridiron Football)
Robert Anthony Quiroga (born February 7, 1982) is a former American football wide receiver who played eight seasons in the Arena Football League (AFL) with the Los Angeles Avengers, Orlando Predators and San Antonio Talons. He played college football at Baylor University. He was also a member of the Baltimore Ravens, Ottawa Renegades, Chicago Rush and Austin Turfcats. Early years Quiroga played high school football at Oliver Wendell Holmes High School in San Antonio. He earned first-team All-Greater San Antonio honors as both a receiver and punter. He also garnered Honorable mention all-state recognition. Quiroga recorded career totals of 2,086 yards and 33 touchdowns on 103 receptions. He also participated in track and field for the Huskies, having run the anchor leg on the Huskies' 4 × 400 metres relay team that captured the Class 5A state championship in 1999. The 2012 Arena Football League season was the 25th season in the history of the league. The regular season began on March 9, 2012 with a game between the Pittsburgh Power and the Orlando Predators and ended on July 22, 2012 with a game between the Utah Blaze and Philadelphia Soul. Southern Indoor Football League
The Southern Indoor Football League (SIFL) was an indoor football league based in the Southern and Eastern United States. The most recent incarnation of the league was a consolidation of an earlier league of the same name that was formed by Thom Hager along with Dan Blum, Robert Winfrey and Dan Ryan in 2009 and the American Indoor Football Association, which traces its roots to the founding of the Atlantic Indoor Football League in 2005. The 2006 Arena Football League season was the 20th season of the Arena Football League. The league champions were the Chicago Rush, who defeated the Orlando Predators in ArenaBowl XX. 2005 CFL Season
The 2005 CFL season is considered to be the 52nd season in modern-day Canadian football, although it is officially the 48th Canadian Football League season. 2004 NFL Draft
The 2004 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held April 24–25, 2004 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. No teams chose to claim any players in the supplemental draft that year. The ''Waco Tribune-Herald'' is an American daily newspaper serving Waco, Texas, and vicinity. Background The newspaper has its roots in five predecessors, beginning with the ''Waco Evening Telephone'' in 1892. The ''Tribune-Herald'' took its current identity when E.S. The 4 × 400 metres relay or long relay is an athletics track event in which teams consist of four runners who each complete 400 metres or one lap. It is traditionally the final event of a track meet. At top class events, the first leg and the first bend of the second leg are run in lanes.
