Robert Power (born 11 May 1995) is an Australian former road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2016 and 2021 for , and . Career Amateur career As a child, Power was a rugby player; his brother Leon Power played professionally in Australia, France and New Zealand. At the age of 13, however, Power suffered a knee injury. The rehabilitation from the injury involved a lot of cycling on the velodrome at the Midland Cycling Club in Perth. Power joined the group rides and, a year later, rode in the national championships. He continued riding in the various age-group categories over the subsequent years. Power joined the National Junior High Performance Program in 2013. During that season, he won two races (a stage of the Giro della Lunigiana and the Trofeo Buffoni one-day race) as well as recording several other high placings. Robert Power (Irish Cyclist)
Robert Power (born 3 July 1971) is an Irish former cyclist. He competed in the team time trial at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Power won multiple races as a junior and senior rider in Ireland. Biography Power was born in Dungarvan, Ireland, in 1971, and was an All-Ireland Schoolboy champion in 1989. At the Irish National Cycling Championships, Power won the junior title in 1988, and the senior title in 1993. The year after winning his junior title, he was awarded with the Junior Sports Award for cycling by the ''Cork Examiner''. Robert Power (surveyor)
Robert Power (1794 – 15 February 1869) was a British Army officer and Surveyor General of Tasmania, (then the colony of Van Diemen's Land, now a state of Australia). Early life Power was born in Knockbrit, Ireland to Edmund Power and Ellen Sheehy. His father was a landowner and the sometime editor of the Clonmel Gazette. His mother was the daughter of Edmund Sheehy, who was executed as an accessory to Nicholas Sheehy, his cousin. He was the brother of the Marguerite Gardiner, the Countess of Blessington, a novelist, biographer and a literary hostess. Military career He joined the Leitrim Militia before volunteering with the 91st (Argyllshire Highlanders) Regiment of Foot. Power was commissioned lieutenant in the 73rd (Perthshire) Regiment of Foot in 1815, then as captain in 1817 in the 20th Regiment of Foot. Robbie Power
Robbie "Puppy" Power is a retired National Hunt jockey. The son of Irish show-jumper Con Power, Robbie Power rode the 33-1 outsider Silver Birch to victory in the 2007 John Smith's Grand National at Aintree Racecourse on Saturday 14 April 2007. It was his second Grand National ride after his Grand National debut in 2005. In 2011 he had his first Cheltenham Festival winner in the RSA Chase. In 2017 he won the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Punchestown Gold Cup on Sizing John. He also won the Irish Grand National on Our Duke. He announced his retirement from horse racing in 2022. Bob Power is an American Grammy Award–winning and multi-platinum record producer, audio engineer, composer, arranger, performer, and music educator. Early life Power was born in Chicago, moved to Rye, New York, then moved to St. Louis, Missouri, and attended Webster College, where he studied music theory. He also studied classical composition and conducting, alongside playing his own contemporary music. He subsequently obtained a master's degree in jazz from Lone Mountain College (since acquired by University of San Francisco) in San Francisco.
