Robert Ludwell Yates Peyton
Robert Ludwell Yates Peyton (February 8, 1822 – September 3, 1863) was a Missouri attorney, politician and Confederate States Army officer who served as a Congress of the Confederate States, Confederate States Senator from February 18, 1862, until his death in Alabama of malaria contracted while defending Vicksburg, Mississippi in 1863. Early and family life Robert Ludwell Yates Peyton was born in Loudoun County, Virginia to Townsend Dade Peyton (1774-1852) and his second wife, the former Sarah Yates (1800-1864). His grandfather Francis Peyton (who died before the boy's birth) had been a prominent planter and politician in Loudoun County, representing it in the House of Burgesses, all five Virginia revolutionary conventions and both houses of the Virginia General Assembly. The family owned slaves in Virginia, but reportedly freed them before 1840 when Townsend Dade moved his family to Oxford, Ohio, Oxford in Butler County, Ohio, where they lived first with a free Black woman ...

Robert Andrew Peyton (born 1 May 1954) is an English former footballer who played two games in the Football League for Port Vale in 1972. Career Peyton played for Chelmsley Town before joining Gordon Lee's Third Division club Port Vale as an amateur in January 1972. Peyton Baronets
There have been five baronetcies created for members of the old established family of Peyton of Peyton Hall in the parish of Boxford in Suffolk, all of whom were descended from Sir Robert Peyton (d.1518) of Isleham in Cambridgeshire, grandson and heir of Thomas Peyton (1418–1484) of Isleham, twice Sheriff of Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire, in 1443 and 1453. All the baronetcies are extinct. The Peyton Baronetcy, of Isleham in the County of Cambridge, was created in the Baronetage of England on 22 May 1611 for John Peyton, a great-grandson of Sir Robert Peyton. The first and second Baronets both served as Member of Parliament for Cambridgeshire. This Baronetcy was extinct in 1815 on the death of the 8th Baronet.
