Robert Llewelyn
Robert Llewellyn (born 10 March 1956) is a British actor, comedian, presenter and writer. He plays the mechanoid Kryten in the sci-fi television sitcom '' Red Dwarf'' and formerly presented the engineering gameshow ''Scrapheap Challenge''. He has also founded and hosts a YouTube series, '' Fully Charged''. Early life Llewellyn was born in Northampton, England. Early career Llewellyn's first foray into the world of show business started out as a hobby, organising a few amateur cabaret evenings in a riverside warehouse overlooking Tower Bridge in London. The shows were a great success and he eventually helped form an alternative comedy theatre group called The Joeys. "Beyond a Joke" is the sixth episode of science fiction sitcom '' Red Dwarf'' Series VII and the 42nd in the series' run. It was first broadcast on the British television channel BBC2 on 21 February 1997. Douglas Rodger Naylor (born 31 December 1955) is an English comedy writer, science fiction writer, director and television producer. Life and career Naylor was born in Manchester, Lancashire, England, and studied at Chetham's School of Music and the University of Liverpool. In the mid-1980s Naylor created and wrote two comedy sketch shows for BBC Radio 4 entitled ''Cliché'' and '' Son of Cliché'', as well as two sitcoms,''Wrinkles'' and ''Wally Who?'' for the same station.
