Robert Taggart Hall (1877 – 1920) was owner and sometime-president of The Hall China Company in East Liverpool, Ohio, US. Single-fire at Hall China When Robert Taggart Hall took over the running of Hall China in 1904, he was determined to develop a single-fire range. Together with staff chemists and ceramic engineers, he experimented over seven years. Finally, in 1911, Hall and his staff were successful. Lead-free ware by accident Inadvertently, Hall China developed a completely lead-free glaze. This was due not to particular health or environmental considerations, but that lead wouldn't survive the high firing temperatures required of their single-fire process. Robert Hall (MP For York)
Robert Hall was one of two Members of the Parliament of England for the constituency of York on two occasions between 1545–47 and October 1553 and April 1554 . Life and politics Robert was born about 1497 to Robert Hall of Leventhorpe. He married Jane Harrington and had at least three sons and four daughters. His daughter Katherine would marry the son of York MP, Robert Paycock. His son, Leonard, would become a freeman of York in 1565 and marry Mary Peacock in All Saints' Church on 6 September 1562. His daughter Mary would marry Thomas Sotheby of Bishop Wilton. Elizabeth would marry John Harrison. He became a member of the Corpus Christi Guild in 1518 and then the Merchant Guild in 1521. He was appointed as a constable of the city of York in 1530 and was a senior chamberlain in 1533. The following year became a member of the "twenty four". Robert Arthur Hall (November 30, 1930 – June 7, 2016) was a Canadian politician. He served in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1982 to 1987, as a NDP member for the constituency of Tantramar. He was the first New Democrat to be elected to the legislature. He had also served several terms on the village council of Port Elgin, New Brunswick Port Elgin is a Canadian village in Westmorland County, New Brunswick. Sir Robert Hall (1909–1994) was a politician of Antigua and Barbuda. Hall was an opponent of the dominant Antigua Labour Party throughout his career. He was politically active mainly during Antigua and Barbuda's time as a West Indies Associated State. Career During the 1960s, Hall led the Antigua and Barbuda Democratic Movement. This very loose political organisation was most significant for the role it allowed Hall to play in the creation of the Progressive Labour Movement (PLM) in 1968. After the party won four by-elections, it became Antigua and Barbuda's first parliamentary opposition party. Hall was the first leader of this party and the first Leader of the Opposition in the state, but he relinquished this role to George Walter before the 1971 general election. Robert Lee Hall III, known as Bob Hall (born March 5, 1942), is an American politician who is a Republican member of the Texas State Senate. Aligned with the Tea Party movement, he succeeded fellow Republican Bob Deuell, whom he unseated by three hundred votes in the Republican runoff election held on May 27, 2014. Early life and education Hall graduated in 1960 from George D. Chamberlain High School in Tampa, Florida. Robert Bernard Hall (January 28, 1812 – April 15, 1868) was a member of the United States House of Representatives from Massachusetts. He was born in Boston on January 28, 1812. He entered the Boston Latin School, studied theology at Yale Divinity School in New Haven, Connecticut where he graduated in 1835, and was ordained to the ministry, first as a Congregationalist and then as an Episcopalian. Hall was one of the twelve original members of Garrison’s Anti-Slavery Society. He moved to Plymouth, Massachusetts and served in the Massachusetts State Senate. Robert Hanley Hall (25 April 1850 – 12 December 1924) was an Irish-born fur trader and political figure in British Columbia. He represented Cassiar in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 1890 to 1894. He was born in Derry, the son of Reverend Thomas Hall. Hall began his career at Fenelon Falls, Ontario.
