Robert F. Schoultz
Robert Francis "Dutch" Schoultz (February 9, 1925 – October 9, 2017) was a vice admiral in the United States Navy. He was a former commander of the Naval Air Force U.S. Pacific Fleet and a former Deputy Commander in Chief of U.S. Naval Forces Europe/U.S. Commander Eastern Atlantic. He also served as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Air Warfare. From June 26, 1981 until his retirement on February 17, 1987, he was U.S. naval aviation's Gray Eagle, the second longest serving senior active-duty naval aviator. In retirement he became president of Rosco, Inc., an aerospace industry consulting firm, and served on the board of Reflectone Inc. Schoultz was born in Racine, Wisconsin and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduating from Omaha Central High School in 1942, he enrolled in the NROTC program at the University of Nebraska. Racine, Wisconsin
Racine ( ) is a city in and the county seat of Racine County, Wisconsin, United States. It is located on the shore of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Root River. Racine is situated 22 miles (35 km) south of Milwaukee and approximately 60 miles (100 km) north of Chicago. It is the principal city of the US Census Bureau's Racine metropolitan area (consisting only of Racine County). The Racine metropolitan area is, in turn, counted as part of the Milwaukee combined statistical area. The Sixth Fleet is a numbered fleet of the United States Navy operating as part of United States Naval Forces Europe. The Sixth Fleet is headquartered at Naval Support Activity Naples, Italy. The officially stated mission of the Sixth Fleet in 2011 is that it "conducts the full range of Maritime Operations and Theater Security Cooperation missions, in concert with coalition, joint, interagency, and other parties, in order to advance security and stability in Europe and Africa." The current commander of the Sixth Fleet is Vice Admiral Thomas E. Ishee. Arlington National Cemetery
Arlington National Cemetery is one of two national cemeteries run by the United States Army. Nearly 400,000 people are buried in its 639 acres (259 ha) in Arlington, Virginia. There are about 30 funerals conducted on weekdays and 7 held on Saturday. The other Army cemetery is in Washington, D.C. and is called the U.S. Soldiers' and Airmen's Home National Cemetery. All other national cemeteries are run by the National Cemetery System of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The United States Navy Sea, Air, and Land (SEAL) Teams, commonly known as Navy SEALs, are the U.S. Navy's primary special operations force and a component of the Naval Special Warfare Command.
