Robert Curtis (basketball)
Robert Curtis, Jr. (January 15, 1990 – May 26, 2017) was an American football and basketball player. He competed with the Saint John Mill Rats of the National Basketball League of Canada (NBL), playing for the team in multiple seasons. Curtis also played with the North County Cobras of the LaBelle Community Football League (LCFL). Early life Curtis was born on January 15, 1990, to Robert Curtis, Sr. and Starlea Hall and was brought up in Pomona, California. When Robert, Jr. was 5 years old, his father was shot and killed. Hall was diagnosed with brain cancer at 45 years of age. High school career Curtis attended Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo, California. Victorville is a city in Victor Valley in San Bernardino County, California. Its population as of the 2020 census was 134,810. History In 1858, Aaron G. Lane came to what is now known as Victorville and founded a waystation called "Lane's Crossing." For many years it provided shelter and supplies for people journeying across the desert from the east to San Bernardino. Lane's Crossing was on the Mojave River on today's Turner Road, two miles north of where Interstate 15 crosses the river. Lane was a veteran of the Mexican–American War who had had malaria during that war. The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. Mike Helms
Mike Helms (born December 29, 1982) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Oakland University where he was named the Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Year in 2002–03 and was a three-time first-team Mid-Continent honoree. Professional career After going undrafted in the 2004 NBA draft, Helms had a short stint with Argentino de Junín of the Liga Nacional de Básquet before joining the Michigan Mayhem of the CBA who selected him as the 18th pick in that year's CBA Draft. After scoring 15 points in his debut for Michigan on November 19, Helms suffered a long-term injury the following game on November 20 and was ruled out for a month and a half, only to be re-activated by the club on January 6, 2005. The Windsor Express is a Canadian professional basketball team based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The Express are an expansion team of the National Basketball League of Canada that began play in the 2012–13 season. The Express play its home games at the WFCU Centre.
