Robert Charvay, (5 March 1858 – 1925) is the pen name of Adrien Lefort, a French dramatist and journalist who worked for the daily '' Écho de Paris'', where he signed his papers with the nickname "The Yellow Dwarf". He was the son of Charlotte Jeanne Judlin (1820–1883) and the French lyrical singer Jules Lefort (1822–1898). His parents divorced in 1872. Louis Varney (; 30 May 1844, New Orleans, Louisiana – 20 August 1908, Cauterets, France) was a French composer. Biography Louis Varney was the son of Alphonse Varney, a French conductor at the Bouffes-Parisiens and at the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux The Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux is an opera house in Bordeaux, France, first inaugurated on 17 April 1780. Victor de Cottens (21 August 1862 – 26 February 1956) was a French dramatist, librettist, stage director, and theatre critic. De Cottens was born in Paris. For the Folies Bergère, he directed every edition of the ''Revue des Folies-Bergère'' produced by Émile and Vincent Isola; each of these revues offered various acts linked by two commentators, the ''commère'' and ''compère''. Between 1908 and 1911, he and H. B. Marinelli ran the Olympia music hall in Paris. He and E.
