Robert Baljeu
Robert Jan P. Baljeu (born 19 June 1969) is a Dutch politician, who served as a temporary member of the Senate and as a member of the States of North Holland between 2019 and 2023. After he was expelled from the right-wing populist party Forum for Democracy (FvD) shortly after his election, he became a member of the splinter party Group Otten. Education and career Baljeu was born in 1969 in the North Holland municipality Velsen. He studied psychology at the University of Amsterdam in the years 1992–95, but did not finish his studies. Subsequently, he worked for three years as an account manager at textile company Sikkes International and for two years as a field manager at International Computers Limited. In 2000, he took at job as a manager at ICT services company Getronics, but left to work as an account manager for HR software company Raet between 2003 and 2010. Senate (Netherlands)
The Senate ( or simply ' , literally "First Chamber of the States General", or sometimes ' ) is the upper house of the States General, the legislature of the Netherlands. Its 75 members are elected on lists by the members of the twelve States-Provincial and four electoral colleges for the Senate every four years, within three months of the provincial elections. All provinces and colleges have different electoral weight depending on their population. Members of the Senate tend to be veteran or part-time politicians at the national level, often having other roles. They receive an allowance which is about a quarter of the salary of the members of the lower house. Unlike the politically more significant House of Representatives, it meets only once a week. Paul Cliteur
Paul Bernard Cliteur (born 6 September 1955) is a Dutch professor of jurisprudence at Leiden University, as well as a politician, philosopher, writer, publicist and columnist. He is known for his conservative perspective, his atheism, his republicanism, and his dislike of Islam. He is a member of De Vrije Gedachte. Since 2015, Cliteur is a member of the Dutch political party Forum voor Democratie, where he is chairman of the advisory board and the party's official think tank. The Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (; NOS ; English: Dutch Broadcasting Foundation) is one of the broadcasting organisations making up the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system. Henricus Cornelis Maria "Henk" Krol (; born 1 April 1950) is a Dutch journalist, publisher, entrepreneur, activist and politician. He has been a member of the House of Representatives since 10 September 2014. He used to be the leader of 50PLUS, but left the party in 2020, due to disagreements with the rest of the party's leadership. From 3 May to 18 October 2020, Krol was the leader of the Party for the Future. The Party for the Future (; ) was a short-lived political party in the Netherlands that had been active in the House of Representatives as the Krol/Van Kooten-Arissen Group (). Founded in May 2020, it had intended to participate in the 2021 general election, but was dissolved in October 2020 due to internal disagreements. 2019 Dutch Senate Election
The 2019 election to the Senate of the Netherlands was held on 27 May 2019, two months after the provincial elections. Forum for Democracy, which took part for the first time, became the largest party. This was later undone by several party splits.
