Robbie Knievel
Robert Edward Knievel II (born May 7, 1962) is an American daredevil and son of stunt performer Evel Knievel. He has also used the code name "Kaptain Robbie Knievel". Family Robbie Knievel is the son of the stuntman Robert "Evel" Knievel and his first wife, Linda. The third of four children (two boys and two girls), Knievel is named after his paternal grandfather. Knievel has two daughters, Krysten and Karmen. He also has a granddaughter and grandson, Analise and Kane. Early life Knievel began jumping his bicycle at age four and rode motorcycles at age seven. At age eight, he performed his first show with his father at Madison Square Garden. At age 12, he was on tour with his father, where he would perform in the pre-jump shows. Knievel attended Central Catholic High School in Butte, Montana between 1975 and 1976, but he never graduated. He wanted to lengthen his jumps, but his father disapproved. Tremont And Gulf 30
Tremont and Gulf Railroad No. 30 is a preserved class 30 2-8-2 "Mikado" steam locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1917 for the Tremont and Gulf Railroad. It was used by the T&G for hauling freight trains in branch lines throughout the state of Louisiana until 1954, when it was sold to the Magma Arizona Railroad and renumbered 7. There, the locomotive was used for hauling smaller freight trains in Southern Arizona, until its retirement in 1968. Afterwards, it continued to be sold to various owners and groups, until it was purchased by the Texas State Railroad in 1974. It was restored to operating condition and used to pull tourist excursion trips between Rusk and Palestine, Texas as No. 400 from 1978 to 2002. In vehicle acrobatics, a wheelie, or wheelstand, is a vehicle maneuver in which the front wheel or wheels come off the ground due to sufficient torque being applied to the rear wheel or wheels, or rider motion relative to the vehicle. Wheelies are usually associated with bicycles and motorcycles, but can be done with other vehicles such as cars, especially in drag racing and tractor pulling. Eddie Kidd
Edward Kidd (born 22 June 1959) is an English former stunt performer. He was paralysed and suffered brain damage following an accident in 1996. On 15 June 2012 it was announced that he had been made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for services to charity. Stunt work Kidd started his career at the age of fourteen. He is the holder of many world records for jumping over cars and buses. He has worked as a stunt double in many films, notably for Timothy Dalton in ''The Living Daylights'', Roger Moore and Michael Caine in '' Bullseye!'' and Pierce Brosnan in ''GoldenEye''. The ''Intrepid'' Sea, Air & Space Museum is an American military and maritime history museum in New York City with a collection of museum ships. It is located at Pier 86 at 46th Street, along the Hudson River, in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood on the West Side of Manhattan. Texas State Railroad
The Texas State Railroad is a historic heritage railroad between Rusk and Palestine, Texas. Built by inmates, it was founded in 1883 by the state of Texas to haul raw materials for a smelter at the prison at Rusk. Regular service on the line was ended in 1921. The state leased the line to private companies until 1969, then turned it over to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in 1972. In 2007, the railroad was transferred to the Texas State Railroad Authority and is now operating as a scenic tourist line. It is currently operated on a limited, year-round schedule. Today, the railroad has a total of five steam locomotives (two of which are operational) and three diesel locomotives in their current roster.
