Rob Oxley
Robert Mark Raymond Oxley is a British public relations officer and government appointee who was selected by Boris Johnson to serve as Downing Street Press Secretary from 24 July 2019. Career Oxley worked at the online food delivery company Deliveroo. Oxley appeared as an advocate of the bedroom tax in a debate with journalist and Labour Party activist Owen Jones on behalf of the TaxPayers' Alliance in 2013. Oxley formerly served as an advisor to Priti Patel and Michael Fallon. Along with former-Director of Communications Lee Cain, Oxley worked as Head of Media for the Vote Leave campaign. The Downing Street Press Secretary is an adviser to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on news media and how to manage the image of the British government to the press. The position is part of the Prime Minister's Office and involves using information on what is happening in the UK and around the world, to decide on how the Prime Minister should present his or her reaction to the media. Nadine Vanessa Dorries (''née'' Bargery, 21 May 1957) is a British politician who served as Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport from 2021 to 2022 under Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
