Roadhouse (band)
Roadhouse was a short-lived British rock band that once included former Def Leppard members Pete Willis and Frank Noon. According to the band's website, the band recorded a four song demo with Noon as their drummer. However, Noon was no longer in Roadhouse by the time of the recording of their debut album. Roadhouse released their self-titled album in August 1991. The album is often referred to as ''On a Desert Road'', a reference to a line in the song "Time". Several singles were released from the album, with B-sides that are not on the album. The band toured in support of Ian Gillan/ No Sweat/Saxon/Two Tribes and recorded four videos for MTV. The single "Hell Can Wait" reached number 9 in the UK Rock Chart, and the single "Tower of Love" was used in the film ''Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man''. Def Leppard
Def Leppard are an English rock band formed in 1976 in Sheffield. Since 1992, the band has consisted of Rick Savage (bass, backing vocals), Joe Elliott (lead vocals), Rick Allen (drums, backing vocals), Phil Collen (guitar, backing vocals), and Vivian Campbell (guitar, backing vocals). They established themselves as part of the new wave of British heavy metal movement of the early 1980s. The band's greatest commercial success came between the early 1980s and the early 1990s. Their first album, 1980's ''On Through the Night'', reached the Top 15 in the UK but received little notice elsewhere. Their second album, 1981's ''High 'n' Dry'', was produced by Mutt Lange, who helped them begin to define their melodic hard rock style, and the album's most popular track "Bringin' On the Heartbreak" became one of the first rock videos played on MTV in 1982, but the album only reached the Top 30 and 40 in the UK and US. Gogmagog (band)
Gogmagog were a British hard rock and heavy metal supergroup based in Chipping Barnet formed in the 1980s, assembled in 1985 by the record producer Jonathan King. The band's lineup featured former Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Di'Anno and drummer Clive Burr, former Gillan and future Iron Maiden guitarist Janick Gers, former Def Leppard guitarist Pete Willis, and former Whitesnake bassist Neil Murray. Together for only a short time, Gogmagog originally released a three song E.P. on the small independent Food For Thought label in 1985 entitled ''I Will Be There''. Two of the songs recorded were written by producer King ("Living in a Fucking Time Warp" and "It's Illegal, It's Immoral, It's Unhealthy, But It's Fun"), with the title track being composed by longtime KISS collaborator Russ Ballard, and originally released on his 1981 solo album ''Into the Fire''. The Next Band
The Next Band were a British rock trio featuring vocalist/bassist Rocky Newton, guitarist John Lockton and drummer Frank Noon, who is credited with playing drums on Def Leppard's 1979 EP '' The Def Leppard E.P.''. The band's name was later changed to Red Alert. Other bands featuring members of The Next Band Lockton and Noon were later in Wild Horses with Rainbow and Dio bassist Jimmy Bain. Newton and Noon were later in Lionheart with former Iron Maiden guitarist Dennis Stratton. Lockton was later in the band Victory, with whom he played on their self-titled album. Pete Willis
Peter Andrew Willis (born 16 February 1960) is an English musician, songwriter and guitarist, best known as a founding member of the band Def Leppard. He co-wrote many tracks and played guitar on the band's first three albums: ''On Through the Night'', ''High 'n' Dry'', and ''Pyromania'', which was being recorded at the time of his departure. He was fired from Def Leppard in 1982 and replaced by Phil Collen. In 2019, Willis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Def Leppard. Career Willis attended Tapton School and has been a guitar enthusiast since his youth. He was a fan of Jimi Hendrix. In his early adult life, he formed a band called Atomic Mass with Nicholas Mackley, Rick Savage, Paul Hampshire, and Tony Kenning. Frank Noon
Frank Noon (born 25 December 1959 in London) is a British drummer who played with the bands Def Leppard and Roadhouse. Career Frank Noon was a member of the trio The Next Band before, during, and after the time he was in Def Leppard, and played on The Next Band's ''Four by Three E.P.'' Noon played on Def Leppard's '' The Def Leppard E.P.'' in 1979. Noon was never an official member of Def Leppard. Although he was asked to join permanently, he declined the offer to stay with The Next Band. He was preceded in Def Leppard by original drummer Tony Kenning and succeeded by current drummer Rick Allen. About thirteen years later, he played in the band Roadhouse with Pete Willis, who was a member of Def Leppard when Noon performed with them. He played on Roadhouse's demo, but was replaced by drummer Trevor Brewis before the recording of Roadhouse's album. The A-side and B-side are the two sides of phonograph records and cassettes; these terms have often been printed on the labels of two-sided music recordings. The A-side usually features a recording that its artist, producer, or record company intends to be the initial focus of promotional efforts and radio airplay and hopefully become a hit record. The B-side (or "flip-side") is a secondary recording that typically receives less attention, although some B-sides have been as successful as, or more so than, their A-sides. Use of this language has largely declined in the 21st century as the music industry has transitioned away from analog recordings towards digital formats without physical sides, such as CDs, downloads and streaming. No Sweat were an Irish rock band, active during the late 1980s and early 1990s. They are best remembered for their single "Heart and Soul" ( produced by the Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott), which topped the Irish Singles Chart for two weeks in June 1989. Singles Following "Heart and Soul" reaching number one in 1989, the group had two further Irish hits in 1990 with "Tear Down the Walls" (No. 4) and "On the Edge" (No. 11). 1990 also saw the release of their self-titled debut album, which was produced by Keith Olsen for Pogo Logo Corp., and was recorded at the Goodnight L.A. studio in Van Nuys, California, United States. The two charts are compiled by the OCC from digital downloads, physical record sales and audio streams in UK retail outlets. The charts have been published on the official OCC website since 1994.
