Rizvi or Rizavi or رضوی is the Urdu form of the Arabic surname Radawi/Radhawi and the Persian surname Razavi. It is a surname commonly associated with Muslims, who claim descent from the Imam Ali al-Ridha, a descendant of the Islamic prophet Muhammad through his grandson Husayn ibn Ali. Komal Rizvi ( ur, ; born 3 August 1981) is a Pakistani actress, singer, songwriter, and a television host. She is famous for her songs in Coke Studio (Pakistan). Khurshid Rizvi
Khurshid Rizvi (ڈاکٹرخورشید رضوی) is a Pakistani scholar of languages and an Urdu poet. Early life Rizvi was born on 8 December 1940 in Amroha, Muradabad (India) in a Sunni Sadaat family. As a young child, he immigrated with his family to Montgomery in 1948 (now Sahiwal), Punjab (Pakistan). He studied at Islamia High School, and Government High School & finally graduated from Government College, Montgomery in 1959. He moved to the University Oriental College Lahore for higher studies and earned his MA in Arabic in 1961. Later, he got his Ph.D. in Arabic from the same university in 1981. Publications Rizvi has authored and edited books in many languages on a range of subjects including seven poetry collections to date. Khawar Rizvi (1 June 1938 – 15 November 1981) was a poet and scholar of Urdu and Persian. His real name was Syed Sibte Hassan Rizvi. Rizvi adopted "Khawar," meaning "the east" in Persian, as a pen-name for writing poetry and essays. Rizvi was a great lover and admirer of east, eastern way of life and eastern values. Shah Inayatullah ( sd, شاه عنایت اللہ; 1655–1718), popularly known as Sufi Shah Inayat Shaheed, Shah Shaheed or Shah Inayat of Jhok, was a 17th-century revolutionary from Jhok, Sindh. He was executed on the order of Mughal Emperor Farrukhsiyar in the early eighteenth century. Sufi Inayat was accused of leading a small army of peasants (Harees) to challenge the domination of Farrukhsiyar, local feudal landlords, and Mullahs. His mantra, “Jo Kherray so Khaey” ( sd, جو کيڙي سو کائي), means, "The one who plows has the foremost right on the yield." His popularity forced the feudal landlords to contact Farrukhsiyar, who ordered the ruler of northern Sindh Mian Yar Muhammad Kalhoro to uproot Inayat and his companions.
