Riyo Mori
(born December 24, 1986) is a Japanese actress, dancer, model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Universe 2007 in Mexico City. Personal life An only child, Riyo Mori began dancing at the age of 4. She has studied at Quinte Ballet School of Canada and also is a graduate from Centennial Secondary School in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. Mori also completed her Grade 11 year at Mount Douglas Secondary School in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She still possesses her first pair of ballet shoes. On August 28, 2018, she married Brent Kaspar, an American attorney. Miss Universe 2007 Mori was crowned Miss Universe on May 28, 2007, by the outgoing titleholder Zuleyka Rivera. Miss Universe Japan ( ja, ミス・ユニバース・ジャパン) is a national Beauty pageant in Japan to select an official candidate for the Miss Universe pageant. Since 2018, the national director of Miss Universe Japan is Hiroko Mima. History When the Miss Universe Japan pageant was founded in 1998, it was run by French national director Ines Ligron. is a Japanese model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Universe 1959, making her the first Japanese and Asian woman to win the title. Biography Kojima was a 22-year-old model from Tokyo, Japan when she bested four other finalists from Norway, the US, England, and Brazil for the 1959 Miss Universe crown in Long Beach, California. Miss Universe 2008
Miss Universe 2008 was the 57th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Crown Convention Center in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 14, 2008. This was the first time that the Miss Universe pageant was broadcast in 1080i High-definition. At the end of the event, Riyo Mori of Japan crowned Dayana Mendoza as Miss Universe 2008. It is Venezuela's first victory in 12 years, and the fifth victory of the country in the pageant's history. Contestants from 80 countries and territories competed in this year's pageant.
