Riviera Broadcast Group is an owner and operator of three radio stations in the Phoenix market. The company was founded in January 2005 by Tim Pohlman, a former executive with CBS Radio, and partner Chris Maguire, who serves as the company's chief financial officer. CBS Radio was a radio broadcasting company and radio network operator owned by CBS Corporation and founded in 1928, with consolidated radio station groups owned by CBS and Westinghouse Broadcasting/Group W since the 1920s, and Infinity Broadcasting since the 1970s. Rhythmic Contemporary Hit Radio
Rhythmic contemporary, also known as Rhythmic Top 40, Rhythmic CHR or rhythmic crossover, is a primarily American music-radio format that includes a mix of EDM, upbeat rhythmic pop, hip hop and upbeat R&B hits. Rhythmic contemporary never uses hard rock or country in its airplay, but it may occasionally use a reggae, Latin, reggaeton, or a urban contemporary gospel hit.
