The Timiș or Tamiš ( ro, Timiș, sr, Тамиш; german: Temesch, hu, Temes) is a long river that flows through the Banat region of Romania and Serbia and joins the Danube near Pančevo, in northern Serbia. Arieș
The Arieș ( hu, Aranyos) is a left tributary of the river Mureș in Transylvania, Romania. It discharges into the Mureș in Gura Arieșului, southwest of Luduș. Its total length (including its headwater Arieșul Mare) is , and its drainage basin area is . Most probably "Arieș" means "Gold River", the name being derived from the Latin "Aureus". The Hungarian name "Aranyos" means "Golden" and it was first mentioned in 1177.
