Riverina Football Netball League
The Riverina Football Netball League (RFNL) is an Australian rules football and netball competition containing nine clubs based in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. The league features three grades in the Australian rules football competition, with these being First-Grade, Reserve-Grade and Under 17s. In the netball competition, there are five grades, with these being A-Grade, A Reserve-Grade, B-Grade, C-Grade and Under 17s. In 2020, due to COVID-19 the Hume Football league team Osborne joined the competition for the 6 round season. Currently a home and away season consisting of eighteen rounds is played. The best five teams then play off according to the McIntyre System, culminating in the RFNL Grand Final, which is traditionally hosted by Narrandera. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. Points are scored by kicking the oval ball between the central goal posts (worth six points), or between a central and outer post (worth one point, otherwise known as a "behind"). Chris Daniher
Christopher "Chris" James Daniher (born 31 March 1966) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). His brothers Terry, Neale and Anthony also played for Essendon in the AFL. Early life and childhood Chris was born the sixth child of James "Jim" Daniher and Edna Daniher (née Erwin) on 31 March 1966 at West Wyalong Base Hospital. Chris attended St Joseph's Catholic School, Ungarie for his primary education before going to Ungarie Central School until year ten, after which he became a farmer. Ricky Quade
Ricky Quade (born 26 August 1950) is a former Australian rules footballer who represented South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Quade later became better known as the inaugural coach of the Sydney Swans, when South Melbourne relocated to the Harbour City in 1982, and also served the club in various administrative roles. Mirrool, New South Wales
Mirrool is a town in the northern part of the Riverina region of south-west New South Wales, Australia. The town is in the Bland Shire local government area and adjacent to the Newell Highway, south west of the state capital, Sydney. At the , Mirrool and the surrounding area had a population of 234. The place name ''Mirrool'' is derived from the local Aboriginal word meaning "Pipe Clay". Mirrool Post Office opened on 16 November 1911 and closed in 1982. Ariah Park () is a small town in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia, west of Temora and south of West Wyalong. The town is within the Temora Shire near Burley Griffin Way. On Census night 2011, Ariah Park had a population of 268 people. The town is listed by the National Trust as a Conservation Area. The town's name came from resident Sam Harrison who purchased a portion of the Wellman Estate and then named that portion ''Ariah Park'' (pronounced 'area'). Terrence "Terry" John Daniher (born 15 August 1957) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the South Melbourne and Essendon Football Clubs in the Australian Football League (AFL). Terry was also an assistant coach for the Essendon, Collingwood, St Kilda and Carlton Football Clubs. Terry's brothers, Neale, Anthony and Chris, also played for Essendon in the AFL. Boolarra is a small township located in the Latrobe Valley, in central Gippsland, Victoria, Australia.
