Rivergate Mall is a super-regional Shopping mall, shopping mall located in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, United States, just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, Nashville, the List of capitals in the United States, state capital of Tennessee. Opened in October 1971, the mall features of gross leasable area, with approximately 80 stores and restaurants, as well as a food court. Its original Anchor store, anchor stores were Cain-Sloan, Castner Knott, and JCPenney. Rivergate Mall has two anchor stores: Dillard's and JCPenney. There are two vacant anchor stores that were formerly Macy's and Sears. The mall sits in the core of a shopping district that is shared by the city of Goodlettsville and the Madison, Tennessee, Nashville neighborhood of Madison. The Rivergate Parkway, also historically known as Two Mile Parkway and Two Mile Pike, is a major north–south, four-lane thoroughfare in northern Davidson County, Tennessee, Davidson County in Middle Tennessee. Madison (originally Madison Station) is a former settlement, now a suburban neighborhood of northeast Nashville, in the U.S. state of Tennessee. The Tornado outbreak sequence of May 6–27, 1995 was a long-lasting tornado outbreak sequence during May 1995. Thirteen deaths occurred due to the outbreak. Nearly 300 tornadoes occurred during this period from the Central US through the Southeast and into the Mid-Atlantic. The main event days were May 6 – May 7, May 9, May 13, May 18, and May 27. May 13 tornadoes in the Midwest Another tornado outbreak which the National Weather Service issued a high risk for occurred in Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. The tornadoes that occurred on this day resulted in three deaths all from the same tornado that moved through Montgomery and Boone Counties in Indiana just west of Indianapolis. McCrory Stores or J.G. McCrory's was a chain of five and dime stores in the United States based in York, Pennsylvania. The stores typically sold shoes, clothing, housewares, fabrics, penny candy, toys, cosmetics, and often included a lunch counter or snack bar. Global Mall at the Crossings (formerly Hickory Hollow Mall) was a 1.1 million-square-foot (102,193-square-meter) regional indoor shopping mall in the Nashville neighborhood of Antioch, Tennessee, located just east of I-24 at exit 59 along Bell Road (Route 254).
