Riveren Station is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station in the Northern Territory of Australia. Situated approximately north west of Lajamanu, Northern Territory, Lajamanu and south west of Daguragu, Northern Territory, Daguragu in the Victoria River (Northern Territory), Victoria River district, the property was originally part of Inverway Station, which was carved up into Inverway, Bunda Station, Bunda and Riveren Stations. Bunda Station
Bunda Station is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station in the Northern Territory of Australia. Situated approximately west of Lajamanu and south west of Daguragu in the Victoria River district. The property was originally part of Inverway Station until it was carved up into Inverway, Bunda and Riveren Stations. Bunda is bounded to the west by Kirkimbie, the south by Wallamunga, the east by Inverway and the north by Limbunya Station. The property currently occupies an area of and is stocked with 13,500 Brahman and Charbray infused cattle. To water stock 22 bores have been sunk. The Underwood family have owned the property since 1956 when it was still part of Inverway Station. Consolidated Pastoral Company acquired the station, adjacent to Kirkimbie which it already owns, in the Victoria River District in the Northern Territory for approximately 15 million in 2014. Limbunya Station is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station in the Northern Territory of Australia. Location The property is situated approximately west of the community of Daguragu and south of Darwin. The property shares a boundary with Waterloo Station to the north and Inverway, Riveren and Bunda Stations to the south. The Daguragu Aboriginal Land Trust bounds Limbunya to the east with the Malngin Aboriginal Land Trust to the west. Victoria River (Northern Territory)
The Victoria River is a river in the Victoria Bonaparte bioregion of the Northern Territory, Australia. Location and features Flowing for from its source, south of the Judbarra / Gregory National Park, until it enters Joseph Bonaparte Gulf in the Timor Sea, the Victoria River is the longest singularly named permanent river in the Northern Territory. Mitchell Grass
''Astrebla'' is a small genus of xerophytic (adapted to survive in an environment with little liquid water) grasses found only in Australia. They are the dominant grass across much of the continent. They are commonly known as Mitchell grass after Scottish explorer, Thomas Mitchell (1792-1855), who first collected a specimen near Bourke in New South Wales. Mitchell grasses grow on clay soils, mainly between an upper limit of and a lower limit of average annual rainfall, and at even lower rainfall in depressions where the water concentrates following rains, for example in Sturt's Stony Desert. Mitchell grasses are deep-rooted and become dormant during drought, allowing them to survive extended periods without rainfall. ''Triodia'' is a large genus of hummock-forming bunchgrass endemic to Australia. They are known by the common name spinifex, although they are not a part of the coastal genus '' Spinifex''. Many of the soft-leaved members of this species were formerly included in the genus ''Plectrachne''. It is known as ''tjanpi'' in central Australia, and is used for basket weaving by the women of various Aboriginal Australian peoples.
