In geography, a bank is the land alongside a body of water. Different structures are referred to as ''banks'' in different fields of geography, as follows. In limnology (the study of inland waters), a stream bank or river bank is the terrain alongside the bed of a river, creek, or stream. The bank consists of the sides of the channel, between which the flow is confined. Stream banks are of particular interest in fluvial geography, which studies the processes associated with rivers and streams and the deposits and landforms created by them. Bankfull discharge is a discharge great enough to fill the channel and overtop the banks. The descriptive terms ''left bank'' and ''right bank'' refer to the perspective of an observer looking downstream; a well-known example of this being the sections of Paris as defined by the river Seine. Leon Bolier (; born Leendert Wouter Bolier; 21 October 1980), also known by his mononym Bolier, is a Dutch trance composer, DJ, and record producer. Biography His career began to flourish in 2008 with a number of successful song releases including the hit song "Ocean Drive Boulevard". John L'Ecuyer (born November 15, 1964) is a Canadian film and television director. Biography John L'Ecuyer's first feature, '' Curtis's Charm'' (1995), was an adaptation of a Jim Carroll story. ''Stranger to Stranger'' is the thirteenth solo studio album by American folk rock singer-songwriter Paul Simon. Riverbank is a city in Stanislaus County, California, United States. The population was 24,623 at the 2020 census, up from 15,826 at the 2000 census. Incorporated on August 23, 1922, Riverbank's official slogan is "City of Action." It is part of the Modesto Metropolitan Statistical Area. Riverbank was founded as a ferry crossing, and was established as a town with the coming of the San Francisco and San Joaquin Valley Railroad, which was soon acquired by the Santa Fe Railroad.
