River Teise
The River Teise ( , ) is a tributary of the River Medway in Kent, England. Course The source of the Teise is in Dunorlan Park in Tunbridge Wells. From there the river flows eastwards past Bayham Abbey and then through Lamberhurst. downstream of Lamberhurst the small River Bewl, on which is the reservoir Bewl Water, joins the Teise. The Teise River bifurcation, bifurcates south west of the village of Marden, Kent, Marden, passing either side of a low ridge. The Lesser Teise flows for about before joining the River Beult at Hunton, Kent, Hunton. The Greater Teise, now carrying only minor quantities, flows for about to the River Medway at Twyford Bridge, upstream of Yalding, formerly the site of a double ford over both the Medway and Teise rivers. The Beult flows through Yalding, then also joins the Medway about below Twyford Bridge. The River Medway is a river in South East England. It rises in the High Weald AONB, High Weald, East Sussex and flows through Tonbridge, Maidstone and the Medway conurbation in Kent, before emptying into the Thames Estuary near Sheerness, a total distance of . Frant
Frant is a village and civil parish in the Wealden District of East Sussex, England, on the Kentish border about three miles (5 km) south of Royal Tunbridge Wells. When the iron industry was at its height, much of the village was owned by ironmasters. Smuggling occurred here in the 17th and 18th centuries, and one of the toll road, turnpike roads (now the A267) came through here at that time. Frant church is dedicated to St Alban and there is a church school.
