River Song (Dennis Wilson Song)
"River Song" is a song written by Dennis Wilson and his younger brother Carl Wilson. It served as the opening track for Dennis Wilson's 1977 debut solo album ''Pacific Ocean Blue''. The song was released as a single in Europe with the B-side being " Farewell My Friend". The single however, failed to chart. The track, as with the rest of the album, was credited as being produced by Dennis and his close friend Gregg Jakobson. Dennis Wilson sings the lead vocals on this and every other track on the album. Recording All the keyboards featured in the song were provided by Dennis Wilson. The opening piano part of the song had origins seven years earlier during recording sessions held in 1970. The piano riff represents the flowing of a river. In an interview, Dennis explained that he was "in the High Sierras walking by this river that was very small and it kept getting bigger and bigger", and he explains that this is the purpose — to represent the river — of "the guitar sound on the ...

River Song (Sherman)
"River Song" is a song composed by Robert B. Sherman and Richard M. Sherman in 1973. It was sung by Charley Pride in the musical motion picture ''Tom Sawyer (1973 film/I), Tom Sawyer''. The song score received a Christopher Award and a nomination for an Academy Award. The song's placement as a "bookend" piece to the motion picture was largely due to the Sherman Brothers' deep involvement with the film, including screenwriters as well as songwriters. The song is featured on the popular music LP album, LP, ''The Brady Bunch Phonographic Album'' which features a total of three Sherman Brothers songs including "River Song." Inspired by Twain

The Shermans did not know how they would end their screenplay until reading Twain's own conclusion to the book. According to Robert B. Sherman, the "River Song" was inspired by the last page of Mark Twain's book in which Twain writes: "So endeth this chronicle. It being strictly a history of a boy, it must stop here; the story could not go ...

River Songs
''River Songs'' is the third full length studio album by American band The Badlees. It was released on their independent label, Rite-Off Records, in February 1995 and sold over 10,000 units before being picked up by the national label Polydor/Atlas after the band signed with that label later in 1995. The album was re-released nationally with no further production enhancement in October 1995 and went on to spawn three national hits - "Fear of Falling", "Angeline Is Coming Home", and "Gwendolyn". Background After returning home from China in August 1994, where The Badlees played the Qingdao International Beer Festival, the band headed back to the studio to start on another album. They planned on calling this next one simply "The Badlees", as a symbol of their commitment to hit the "reset" button and return to their roots musically, but soon found a more fitting title that would become familiar to music fans nationwide. The band made daily commutes from their base in Selinsgrove t ...

River Song (Doctor Who)
River Song is a fictional character created by Steven Moffat and played by Alex Kingston in the British science fiction on television, science-fiction series ''Doctor Who''. River Song was introduced to the series as an experienced future companion (Doctor Who), companion of series protagonist the Doctor (Doctor Who), Doctor, an alien Time Lord who time travel in fiction, travels through time in his TARDIS. Kingston plays her in 15 episodes, as River becomes a companion, romantic interest and eventual wife of the Doctor in his Eleventh Doctor, eleventh incarnation portrayed by Matt Smith (actor), Matt Smith. The Twelfth Doctor (played by Peter Capaldi) is the last incarnation to meet her, spending a 24-year-long night with he ...
