Rita Of The West
''Rita of the West'' ( it, Little Rita nel West, also known as ''Crazy Westerners''), is a 1967 Italian "musicarello"- Spaghetti Western film directed by Ferdinando Baldi. Plot Little Rita is a traveling fun fighter, the "bestest in the West", who is helping the Native American chief Silly Bull with his goal to gather and destroy the white man's gold, which has ruined the world. To do this she has run-ins with parodies of popular western characters, including Django and Ringo. She is captured by Mexican bandit Sancho and his men, who want the secret to where the gold is being hidden (in a cave near the Native American village). Though she refuses to talk, she is rescued by Black Star, a cowboy from "far away", who saw her get kidnapped. She takes him with her back to Silly Bull, but after she realizes she's in love with him, Black Star tries to steal the gold from the cave. Ferdinando Baldi
Ferdinando Baldi (19 May 1917 – 12 September 2007) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. Biography Baldi was born in Cava de' Tirreni, Salerno, on 19 May 1917. His early film work began in Italy in the early 1950s with films such as ''Il Prezzo dell'Onore''. He directed Orson Welles in the films ''David and Goliath'' and ''The Tartars''. Gordon Mitchell (born Charles Allen Pendleton; July 29, 1923 – September 20, 2003) was an American actor and bodybuilder who made about 200 B movies. Biography Charles Allen Pendleton was born in Denver, Colorado, and began working out in his Denver neighbourhood to deal with his tough companions. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army in the Battle of the Bulge where he was taken prisoner of war. He later obtained a degree at the University of Southern California under the G.I. Bill. He became a high school teacher and guidance counselor in Los Angeles, where due to his physique he was given classes containing many delinquent students. The Spaghetti Western is a broad subgenre of Western films produced in Europe. It emerged in the mid-1960s in the wake of Sergio Leone's film-making style and international box-office success. The term was used by foreign critics because most of these Westerns were produced and directed by Italians. Leone's films and other core Spaghetti Westerns are often described as having eschewed, criticized, or even "demythologized" many of the conventions of traditional U.S. Westerns. Raffaele Celeste "Nini" Rosso (19 September 1926 – 5 October 1994) was an Italian jazz trumpeter and composer. Biography Born in San Michele Mondovì, Italy, Rosso's parents had attempted to send him to university, but at 19 he chose the trumpet over academia, and left home. He was a partisan during the Liberation of Nazist and Fascist World War II and operated in Valle Maira, with Giorgio Bocca, and Detto Dalmastro, partisan commander of anti-fascist brigade Giustizia e Libertà to Partito d'Azione of north Italy. After his employment in a nightclub was terminated by the police, he returned home, but soon after departed again to relaunch his career.
