Rita Cortese
Adela Rita Cortese (born 5 August 1949) is an Argentine theatre, film, and television actress and singer. She is considered one of the best actresses of Argentina. Life and career Cortese was born in Buenos Aires on 5 August 1949. She is of Spanish and Italian descent. In 1967, she started studying Philosophy and Letters, but dropped out a year later. She began studying acting at 24 years old in 1973 with professor Néstor Raimondi, and later with Carlos Gandolfo, two of the "four great acting teachers" of the time. She was also a student of theatre director Roberto Villanueva, who directed her in multiple plays. Her first professional role was in the play ''Marathón'' (1980), written by Ricardo Monti and directed by Jaime Kogan. In the 1980s, Cortese was part of the Argentine Open Theatre, an independent theatre movement in resistance of the 1976–83 civil–military dictatorship in Argentina. ''Wild Tales'' ( es, Relatos Salvajes) is a 2014 Spanish-language black comedy anthology film that was written and directed by the Argentine filmmaker Damián Szifron. The film, which is a co-production between Argentina and Spain, is composed of six standalone shorts with a common theme of catharsis, violence and vengeance. The film has an ensemble cast consisting of Ricardo Darín, Oscar Martínez, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Érica Rivas, Rita Cortese, Julieta Zylberberg, and Darío Grandinetti. Because of Szifron's desire to work with Darín and Martínez, these actors were allowed to choose the role they wanted. Four of the film's stories were partly based on Szifron's real-life experiences and were all planned either as thrillers or dramas. ''Graduados'' ( en, link=no, The Graduates) is a 2012 Argentine telenovela that was broadcast by Telefe from March 12 to December 19. The plot concerns a group of people who graduated from high school in 1989 and reunite twenty years later. The main character, Andrés Goddzer (Daniel Hendler), discovers that María Laura Falsini (Nancy Dupláa) was pregnant in 1989 and married Pablo Catáneo (Luciano Cáceres), who thought that he was the child's father. It was nominated in several categories for the Martín Fierro Awards in 2004, 2005, and 2006, and won three times in 2005. Plot Gabriel Nielsen (Suar) and Oso (Antonio Grimau) have a private security company known as Nielsen Security. Axel (Cabré), the son of Oso, wants to join it but he is rejected.
