NBA G League
The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm team, farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005. Chiles Center
The Earle A. & Virginia H. Chiles Center is a 4,852-seat multi-purpose arena in Portland, Oregon, USA. The arena opened in 1984. It is home to the University of Portland Pilots men's and women's basketball teams as well as the women's volleyball team. It hosted the West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament in 1992 and 2007. Jim Moran (basketball)
James Timothy Moran (born December 3, 1978) is an American-Irish retired professional basketball player and current assistant coach for the NBA's Detroit Pistons. Playing career Moran was born in Syosset, New York and attended St. Dominic High School in Oyster Bay from 1993 to 1997. He played on a state championship team during his prep years. After graduating, Moran played four years of college basketball at William & Mary (1997–2001) where he scored 1,324 points and was a two-time All- Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Team member in his junior and senior seasons. 2023–24 NBA G League Season
The 2023–24 NBA G League season will be the 23rd season of the NBA G League, which is the minor league basketball league of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Structure The Showcase Cup will start in November, 2023, and it will conclude with a single-elimination tournament to crown a champion at the G League's Winter Showcase in December. During the Showcase Cup, teams are will be separated into four regional pods and play 16 games against one another in each of the respective NBA G League markets.
