Ringmer F.C.
Ringmer Football Club were a football club based in Ringmer, near Lewes, East Sussex, England. In 2020 they merged with AFC Ringmer to form Ringmer A.F.C. History Ringmer Football Club was established in 1905 and they initially joined the Lewes and District League. After being disbanded during World War One, they continued in local football and achieved their first trophy in 1926 when they lifted the Sussex Junior Cup. In 1951, Ringmer joined the Brighton & Hove District League and began to climb up the divisions, until, in 1963, Ringmer was accepted into the Sussex County League. Within three seasons, the Blues had sealed third spot in Division Two and in 1967 they also lifted the Division Two Invitation Cup. The club won Division Two in 1968–69 and gained promotion to Division One. Ringmer

Description Ringmer is one of the largest villages in Southern England. There has been human habitation since at least Roman times. The parish church, dedicated to St Mary, was probably built in the 13th century. One of its rectors, named to the living in 1533, was William Levett, named in the same year as rector of Buxted, and one of the most improbable figures in English ecclesiastical history. Sussex RUR Cup
The Sussex Royal Ulster Rifles Charity Cup is the original Cup which was presented to the Sussex County FA in 1897 by the Officers and men of the Royal Irish Rifles (subsequently Royal Ulster Rifles). The 1st Battalion Royal Irish Rifles won the Sussex Senior Cup, Brighton Shield, Charity Cup and Vernon Wentworth Cup in 1895–96 and were recognised as ‘Sussex Champions’. The trophy was presented as a permanent memento of their achievement and to raise money for charity. Since its inception in 1896–97, the Sussex (R.U.R) Charity Cup has had many different formats from an end of season invitation competition to its present knockout style. A third of all gate receipts from the matches played in the competition go to the SCFA Benevolent Fund for injured players. FA Vase
The Football Association Challenge Vase, usually referred to as the FA Vase, is an annual football competition for teams playing in Steps 5 and 6 of the English National League System (or equivalently, tier 9 or 10 of the overall English football league system). For the 2017–18 season 619 entrants were accepted, with two qualifying rounds preceding the six proper rounds, semi-finals (played over two legs) and final to be played at Wembley Stadium. The 2022 winners were Newport Pagnell Town, who beat Littlehampton Town 3–0 at Wembley Stadium. History Until 1974, football players were either professionals or amateurs. The 1970–71 FA Cup was the 90th season of the world's oldest football cup competition, the Football Association Challenge Cup, commonly known as the FA Cup. First Division champions Arsenal won the competition for the fourth time, beating Liverpool 2–1 in the final at Wembley. In doing so, Arsenal were the fourth team to complete a double of League and Cup victories, following Preston North End, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur. Matches were scheduled to be played at the stadium of the team named first on the date specified for each round, which was always a Saturday. Some matches, however, might be rescheduled for other days if there were clashes with games for other competitions or the weather was inclement. Sussex Senior Cup
The Sussex Senior Cup is an annual association football knock-out cup competition for men's football clubs in the English county of Sussex and is the county senior cup of the Sussex FA. Its official name is the Sussex Senior Challenge Cup. For sponsorship purposes, from 2012 to 2018 it is also known as the Parafix Sussex Senior Cup after a new three-year sponsorship deal was agreed in 2015. First played in the 1882–83 season, shortly after the founding of the Sussex County Football Association in 1882, the first winners of the cup were Brighton Rangers. Other teams who won the cup in its early history are Burgess Hill, Lancing College and Eastbourne. The team with most title wins in the competition's history are Worthing but Sussex's sole Premier League team, Brighton & Hove Albion, have been most successful in recent years. 2017–18 Southern Combination Football League
The 2017–18 Southern Combination Football League season was the 93rd in the history of the competition, which lies at levels 9 and 10 of the English football league system. The constitution was announced on 26 May 2017. Premier Division The Premier Division consisted of 20 clubs, the same as last season, after Wick and Hailsham Town were relegated to Division One, and Shoreham were promoted to Isthmian League Division One South.
