Ring Pop
Ring Pop is a brand of fruit flavored lollipops manufactured by the Bazooka Companies. They are in the form of a wearable plastic ring with a large hard candy "jewel" and come in an assortment of flavors and colors. In 2022, it is currently owned by Bazooka (chewing gum), The Bazooka Companies. History Ring Pops were invented in 1979 by a man named Frank Richards who was a product engineer at the Topps Company. He wanted to help his daughter in breaking her unsavoury thumb-sucking habit, so he invented the Ring Pop as a treat to eliminate her childish addiction. This treat is similar to a baby pacifier, where the jewel is made out of a hard candy, and is attached to a plastic disc that clamps around a finger. Bazooka (chewing Gum)
Bazooka is an American brand of bubble gum that was introduced in 1947. It is a product of "Bazooka Candy Brands" which was a division of The Topps Company Inc. until that company's acquisition by Fanatics, Inc. in 2022. History Bazooka bubble gum was first marketed shortly after World War II in the U.S. by the Topps Company of Brooklyn, New York. The gum was probably named after the rocket-propelled weapon developed by the U.S. army during the war, which itself was named after a musical instrument. The bubble gum was packaged in a red, white, and blue color scheme and originally sold for 1 penny. Beginning in 1953, Topps changed the packaging to include small comic strips with the gum, featuring the character " Bazooka Joe". There are over 1,535 different "Bazooka Joe" comic-strip wrappers to collect. Also on the comic strip is an offer for a premium and a fortune. The 2011 NBA Finals was the championship series of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) 2010–11 season. The Western Conference champion Dallas Mavericks defeated the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat in six games to win their first NBA championship. Bazooka () is the common name for a man-portable recoilless anti-tank rocket launcher weapon, widely deployed by the United States Army, especially during World War II. Also referred to as the "stovepipe", the innovative bazooka was among the first generation of rocket-propelled anti-tank weapons used in infantry combat. Whistle Pops
Whistle Pops (or called Melody Pops in some countries) were a lollipop brand produced by Spangler Candy Company starting in the 1970's that were designed to make a whistling sound. They were produced with a hole in them, and when blown into, a whistling sound would emanate from the confectionery. Reintroduction After being discontinued for a few years, the company Chupa Chups reintroduced Whistle Pops, naming them Melody Pops, and markets them in the United States.
