Aukra is List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Møre og Romsdal Counties of Norway, county, Norway. It is part of the Districts of Norway, region of Romsdalen. The administrative centre is the village of Aukrasanden, Falkhytta, which is part of the Aukrasanden urban area. The municipality is made up of the island of Gossa (island), Gossa as well as many small surrounding islands, plus a small area around the village of Hollingen across the Julsundet strait on the mainland Romsdal peninsula. Some of the main population centers include the villages of Hollingen, Aukrasanden, Varhaugvika, and Røssøyvågen. Nyhamna is a major industrial area in Aukra. Aukrasanden
Aukrasanden is a village in Aukra Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located on the southeast side of the Gossa (island), island of Gossa, just south of the village of Varhaugvika and the municipal centre of Falkhytta. Just south of Aukrasanden is a ferry connection to the village of Hollingen which is located on the mainland across the Julsundet strait. Aukra Church is located in Aukrasanden.
