Edith Rimmington
Edith Rimmington (1902 – 1986), was an English artist, poet and photographer associated with the Surrealist movement. Biography She was born in Leicester and studied at the Brighton School of Art. Whilst in Sussex she met the artist Leslie Robert Baxter. They married in 1926 before moving to Manchester... She returned south, to London, in 1937 and was then introduced to the British Surrealist Group before the end of the decade by Gordon Onslow Ford. Edith was one of the few female members, along with Eileen Agar and her close friend Emmy Bridgwater. Bridgwater and Rimmington had been inspired by the International Surrealist Exhibition which first introduced surrealism into England in 1936... Nathan Rimmington
Nathan John Rimmington (born 11 November 1982) is an Australian former cricketer who last played for Durham County. He is an attacking right-arm fast-medium bowler. Born in Redcliffe, Queensland, Rimmington holds dual Australian and British citizenship. Rimmington made his debut for Queensland in 2005–06 as a replacement for Michael Kasprowicz who was on international duty. It was in the Twenty20 tournament where he has impressed, being the leading wicket taker not just for the Bulls but for the competition. A rising star, he won the Peter Burge Medal in 2003–04. A man-of-the-match performance of 4/40 in the 2008–09 Ford Ranger Cup final ensured an eighth one-day title for Queensland. Russell Mathew Rimmington (born 29 December 1945), commonly known as Russ Rimmington, was the 30th Mayor of Hamilton, New Zealand. Rimmington was born on 29 December 1945 in Oamaru, New Zealand. The Rivingtons
The Rivingtons were a 1960s doo-wop band, known for their 1962 novelty hit "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow". The members were lead vocalist Carl White (June 21, 1932 - January 7, 1980), tenor Al Frazier (d. November 13, 2005), baritone Sonny Harris, and bassist Turner "Rocky" Wilson, Jr. Frazier was replaced by Madero White for a period in the late 1970s. History The Rivingtons had originally been known as The Sharps and had had success in the charts with Thurston Harris's "Little Bitty Pretty One" in 1957. They then appeared on Duane Eddy's 1958 hit "Rebel Rouser", providing handclaps and rebel yells. They also recorded on Warner Brothers Records as The Crenshaws in 1961. Their first hit as the Rivingtons was "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow" (Liberty #55427, 1962). Like many such songs, it began with the bass chanting nonsense syllables (in this case the title), followed by the tenor singing over repetitions of it.
