Rikuya Hoshino
Rikuya Hoshino (星野陸也, ''Hoshino Rikuya'', born 12 May 1996) is a Japanese professional golfer. He has played full-time on the Japan Golf Tour since 2017 and has won six times on the tour. Professional career Hoshino turned professional in August 2016. In early 2017, he won the Novil Cup on the Japan Challenge Tour. Since 2017, Hoshino has played on the main Japan Golf Tour. His first win came in September 2018 at the Fujisankei Classic which he won by 5 strokes. With eight more top-10 finishes he finished 2018 as the 6th highest money winner on the tour. Hoshino qualified for the 2018 U.S. Open, his first major, where he missed the cut. In May 2019, Hoshino lost in a playoff for the Kansai Open Golf Championship before winning his second Japan Golf Tour event at the Dunlop Srixon Fukushima Open in June, a tournament reduced to 54 holes. 2020–21 Japan Golf Tour
The 2020–21 Japan Golf Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments organised by the Japan Golf Tour Organization. The 2020 season was originally scheduled to be played from 16 January to 6 December 2020, and comprised 25 official money events, mostly in Japan. Other than the four majors, which are played outside Japan, there was one event in Singapore and one event in South Korea; the SMBC Singapore Open which is co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour, and the Shinhan Donghae Open which is co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the Korean Tour. Most of the scheduled tournaments were cancelled during 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic. On 25 December 2020, the tour announced the schedule for 2021 and confirmed that it would be merged with the 2020 schedule to form the 2020–21 season. Masters Tournament
The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, the Masters is the first major of the year, and unlike the others, it is always held at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in the city of Augusta, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. , also known by the nickname , is a Japanese professional golfer. Amateur career On 20 May 2007, Ishikawa became the youngest winner ever of a men's regular tournament on the Japan Golf Tour by winning the Munsingwear Open KSB Cup at the age 15 years and 8 months. He competed as an amateur and it was Ishikawa's first tour appearance. He finished one shot ahead of Japan's 9th top ranked player at the time, Katsumasa Miyamoto. Founded in 1972, it was promoted as the Pacific Masters and for a few years was the richest golf tournament in the world with a prize fund of US$300,000.
