National roads ( sv, riksväg; literally: ''road of the rike/realm'') in Sweden have road numbers from 1 through 99. The national roads are usually of high quality and sometimes pass through several counties. Roads with lower numbers are in southern Sweden, and roads with higher numbers are in northern Sweden. There are many cases where two or more routes in this system share the same physical road for a considerable distance, giving the country several kilometers of double-numbered road. The network of national roads covers all of Sweden. In 2015, the total length of all national roads (excluding European routes) was . The only county that does not have a riksväg is Gotland County. On Gotland and the adjacent island of Öland, the main roads are instead known as county road (''länsväg''). Swedish county roads () are roads with road numbers from 100 and upwards in Sweden. The Swedish county roads are public roads maintained by the Swedish Transport Administration ( sv, Trafikverket). There is a total of 82,873 km (51,495 mi) of county roads in Sweden. The roads are divided into three categories: ; Primary county road (): Common number series in the range 100–499 throughout Sweden, and can stretch over county borders despite the name. ; Secondary county road (): Each county has its own number series in the range of 500–2999. ; Tertiary county road (): Each county has its own number series in the range of 3000–9999. Hässleholm
Hässleholm (older da, Hasselholm) is a locality and the seat of Hässleholm Municipality, Scania County, Sweden with 18,500 inhabitants in 2010. Overview Hässleholm was gradually developed from 1860 in connection with the construction of the main Stockholm to Malmö railway line. There was no settlement on the spot before the arrival of the railway. The station got its name from a manor situated in the vicinity of a planned railway junction. It gained the city title in 1914 and was then classified as one of Sweden's smallest cities. During the 20th century, it developed into a military hub. After the end of the cold war, most of the military establishments were disbanded or moved to other locations. In 2000, Hässleholm's Cultural Center ("kulturhus") was opened.
